Top 5 Site To Watch FIFA World Cup 2014 Online For Free and it's AD-Free!!!

If you’re a soccer fan, there’s no question that you’ll be tuning in to watch most, if not all, of the 64 matches that are going to take place in Brazil from June 12 to July 13. The World Cup is definitely something no self-respecting football fan will want to miss and why watch ad-cluttered reruns through TV subscriptions when you can watch these matches live, and for free?

Here are five websites that will be streaming World Cup matches legally, for free. There is a catch though. These live streams are all limited to residents of certain countries, so you’ll either have to be residents of these countries or take advantage of VPNs and other methods to get your fix. Still, if you’re a football fan, it’s probably worth the hassle. Let’s check out the list.

1. FIFA.Com TV
What better way to watch the World Cup online than via FIFA’s own live, and completely free, streaming service? FIFA.com TV started in 2007 when FIFA decided to move the whole broadcasting procedure and operations in-house, which means that you’ll be getting the stream directly from FIFA.

The only catch is that it’s mostly only available in European countries; check the list here. FIFA also has a lot of short videos you can watch to get you in the mood for the World Cup.

2. BBC And ITV
In the UK, the BBC and ITV will be sharing World Cup broadcast duties between them, on BBC’s iPlayer service and the ITV Player. Since the matches will be split between the two, you can check here for a comprehensive breakdown of what matches will be on which network.

The BBC will be using the same tried-and-tested technology they used for their London Olympics 2012 live streaming, so you should expect a steady stream with very few hiccups.

3. ARD Das Erste And ZDF
Like in the UK, Germans will be splitting their World Cup matches between two broadcasters, ZDF and ARD’s Das Erste channel. The two stations will split the 64 matches between them, and while there doesn’t seem to be a concrete schedule yet, we do know that ZDF will be showing the opening ceremony on June 12 while the July 13 final will be shown on Das Erste.

One thing to really look forward to is the fact that both websites will be offering additional multimedia content and additional camera angles beyond what you’ll get on TV.

4. NOS
NOS is the official Dutch broadcaster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. One of the best things about NOS is that they won’t just be showing the 64 matches of the World Cup. The NOS World Cup 2014 portal has all the news, schedules and multimedia content you’ll need to keep yourself updated with everything that’s happening, all in one place.

There might be a slight tendency to focus on Dutch national team news, but that’s understandable, and won’t matter one bit to fans of the Oranje.

5. SRF Player
The SRF Player is the official live stream of the Swiss SRG SSR public broadcasting organisation. SRG SSR is a non-profit public broadcaster that survives mostly on licensing fees, and thus both of their stations are free to watch online if you have a Swiss IP.

Like NOS, SRF will also be a one-stop location for all the latest news and happenings in Brazil, so you can keep track of the news and watch all your football matches in one place.

"Spartans"(it's mean u) No more Jogging.. Run for ur EMPIRE.. Save ur living place.. Awesome and Real World Game "Run An Empire" Smartphone app..!!! (How to Play and instruction)

Run An Empire

A smartphone game where you compete against others to capture territory in your local environment.

Run An Empire is a game where players compete to capture and maintain control of as much of their local territory as possible. To capture somewhere you have to run (or jog, or walk) around it.

The game uses your neighbourhood as an arena for play.

It is a *deep breath*… persistent, massively-multiplayer, alternate-reality semi-turn-based strategy running game.

How To Play

To play, you just turn on the app. The game uses your phone’s GPS to record the path you take. To capture a territory you simply run, or walk, around it.

Everybody plays using the same map, which means nearby players can capture land from you all they have to do is run round your most vulnerable turf.

To avoid this you can reinforce your territories by running around them multiple times. The more times you run around an area, the more secure you can make it against invasion.

Being successful requires a balance of maintaining the security of your own space and skirmishing within the territory of other players. But be careful if you attempt to capture someone’s land then be prepared to face them as a rival.

Who Is This For

We’re making Run An Empire because it’s the kind of game we’d like to play ourselves. We want something that requires the same tactical planning as the digital and tabletop games we already enjoy, but rooted in the real world where presence and physical actions make a difference. The game is designed for anyone else who might also enjoy a new way of playing strategy.

Run An Empire will be playable internationally and accessible to people across a range of fitness levels. It certainly won’t be exclusive to gifted athletes. The play system will encourage running for folk who are able, but you can also take part by walking or jogging. Ultimately we’ll fine tune the mechanic until it’s balanced towards dedicated and opportunistic players not necessarily those with natural ability.

The competitive features of the game will really come into their own in towns and cities, but you won’t need to live in a busy place to play we’ll make sure you can see how you’re doing versus friends and share your progress online. What’s more, control over territory will erode over time, so it will remain a challenge to keep hold of a formidable kingdom even if nobody else is playing for miles around. We think this feature will also keep the game accessible to late joiners.

Features

A Customisable Coats of Arms

The size of empires will constantly fluctuate so we want to show someone’s historic success as well as their current status. We’ll have a system where every square kilometre of land owned produces a fixed amount of points, or credits per day (For example, 10 credits per 1km²).

To communicate to the world your prestigious career (and represent yourself in the field) you will be able to spend these credits on personalising and upgrading every element of your own coat of arms.

Additionally, some components of the coat of arms will be unlocked by achieving certain goals e.g. capturing a large quantity of land, or holding an area for a certain length of time.

We’re offering unique ‘supporters’ (the creatures holding up the shield) as a reward for backers see the rewards column for details.

Health Analytics

Run An Empire is not what we’d call a gamified health app. It’s more like a strategy game blended with a sport requiring both cunning and action. The primary objective is to beat other people at building and controlling the most successful empire.

However, we know that Run An Empire has the potential to encourage regular exercise and we’re excited that the game can also be used this way – we’ll make sure to provide health metrics alongside the game’s strategic data and we’ll include integration for existing health and running platforms’ APIs.

Existing Alternate Reality Games (ARG’s) and the Running Game Community

There are relatively nascent communities for both strategy AR and running games notable examples include Shadow Cities, Ingress, Zombies Run! and Nike Grid. We love all these games. What’s more, they have given us the confidence that other people also want to play quickly and strategically on their feet.

We think that Run An Empire can make a valuable contribution to both of these communities with a unique, uncluttered and accessible play mechanic.

Will Run An Empire include in app purchases?

If included they would only orientate around avataristic personalisation/ customisation elements. Once launched, the game will *never* offer players a paid-for advantage over opponents the only way to build a successful empire will be through commitment and planning.

Boring on Earth... get ready for the ride..!!!

Cassini Finds Evidence of a Hidden Ocean on Saturn's Moon

Finding liquid water on a celestial body within the solar system is exciting. The only thing that is probably more exciting is finding an ocean full of it. Today such news comes via Cassini, which has made measurements that show that Saturn's moon Enceladus has a hidden ocean beneath its icy surface.

While orbiting Saturn in 2005, Cassini found jets of salty water spewing from the south polar region of Enceladus. According to Luciano Iess of Sapienza University of Rome, lead author of the new study published in Science, "The discovery of the jets was unexpected."

Geysers require liquid water, and we wouldn't expect Enceladus to have any. It is too far from the Sun to absorb much energy and too small (just 500km in diameter) to have trapped enough internal energy to keep its core molten. The answer to how the water got there might lie in the details of the moon's internal structure.

Water beneath an icy crust

The data to understand Enceladus's internal structure came from by measuring changes in Cassini's speed as it flew close to the moon. When passing the denser parts of the moon, it sped up by a few extra thousandths of a meter per second. That minute change was tracked through recordings of the radio signals Cassini was sending to NASA's Deep Space Network station.

In making such tiny measurements, scientists had to filter out other factors that could influence Cassini's speed. These include pressure on the spacecraft from sunlight, the nudge from heat radiating from its nuclear-powered electrical generator, and the drag of the particles it strikes as it passes through the south polar plumes.

Iess and his colleagues have produced a model of the internal structure of Enceladus using the measurements. They conclude that there is a core that is roughly 200km in diameter; above that lies a 10km-thick layer of liquid water, which is followed by 40km of ice crust. The water layer may extend all the way to the north pole, but its thickest part lies at the south pole.

It is possible that Saturn's powerful gravity is responsible for the liquid water under Enceladus's surface. Its pull could heat up the interior through a process called tidal kneading, which involves the slow compression and expansion of the core as the moon rotates through Saturn's gravity well.

After the initial discovery of the plumes, Cassini's minders put a lot of effort into determining Enceladus's internal structure, but it still took nearly ten years to do so. This is because the time the spacecraft spends around Saturn is very valuable, and there are lots of other things worth studying.

Cassini can only make a handful of flybys near Enceladus while still paying attention to other moons, such as Titan. When approaching Enceladus, the controllers also had to make a choice about how to study the moon because of a limitation in how Cassini's instruments are arranged. When making gravitational recordings it needs to point its antenna towards Earth, but in doing so all its other instruments face away from Enceladus. Of the 19 flybys, only three were used to make gravitational recordings.

"After spending eight years in the Saturnian system, one may think that the measurements are becoming repetitive and that Cassini has discovered everything in the reach of its instruments. This is far from being true," Iess said.

Time is running out

"The evidence adds up to a large and active body of water under Enceladus's southern polar region", Helen Maynard-Casely of Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation said. But she warned, "It is going to be a long time before we can verify if this ocean is there, if ever."

The plutonium-powered spacecraft has enough energy to power itself till 2017. The trouble is that, in three years, it will only be able to make three more flybys of Enceladus, which is not enough to take more gravity data. Its end is slated to come when controllers drive it into Saturn's atmosphere for incineration, because scientists are keen to avoid having it crash into Saturn's pristine moons.

There is a push to send another mission to Saturn, but Jupiter's moon Europa might be a better candidate to search for life. At 3,100km in diameter, it is much larger than Enceladus, and, in December, astronomers spotted water vapor coming from its south pole, as well.

The possibility of finding a large amount of liquid water is exciting because, for life to exist as we understand it, we need liquid water. Even on Earth, whenever such untouched sources of liquid water, such as Lakes Vostok and Ellsworth under Antarctica, are studied, there is always the hope that we may discover new forms of life.

Wait for couple of days WATER TURNS INTO WINE !!!! The Miracle Wine machine $499 only !!!! Awesome Gadget !!!!

The Miracle Machine Turns Water Into Wine

For wine-lovers, the Miracle Machine is aptly named. The device helps you create your own wine at home in only a couple of days. All you need is the gadget and a smartphone.
Simply power up the Miracle Machine's iPhone app and select the type and style of wine you'd like to make. The app then tells you which ingredients to put into the wine-making device and connects to it via Bluetooth. The app monitors the progress of your wine as it matures, and in three days or so, your wine should be ready for consumption.
For example, you could choose to create a Cabernet Sauvignon with a "lively" character, and the app will generate your recipe. The ingredients won't be hard to find once the creators behind the project launch their planned wine-making kits, which will contain the grape concentrate, yeast and other ingredients needed for a particular type of wine.

The wine-making device consists of a thermo-plastic fermentation chamber, a thermoelectric heater, a temperature monitor, a motor to mix the ingredients, a custom microprocessor board to control the process and a Bluetooth antenna to connect with your smartphone.

The idea itself isn't new. We've seen several beer-making gadgets, such as PicoBrew Zymatic, that do a similar thing with your favorite frosty brew. When it comes to wine, however, many a connoisseur will scoff his or her nose at the thought of this type of simplified wine-making. At the end, it'll probably come down to whether the wine from the Miracle Machine can actually hold its own or not.

The expected price for the Miracle Machine is $499. Its founders Kevin Boyer and Philip James plan to raise the funding for the project on Kickstarter, but their page on the crowdfunding site is not yet live.

Snowfall will hit D.C,NY,Philadelphia Massive Storm Moves to Northeast After Blasting South!!

Ready to Defend!!

After wreaking havoc in the south, a massive ice and snow storm will move northward into the Mid-Atlantic states starting Wednesday night.

Snowfall will hit Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City in the evening, before spreading north to New England Thursday morning, The Weather Channel reported.
"A strengthening area of low pressure will move up the East Coast on Thursday bringing with it significant winter weather from the Southeast to New England," according to the National Weather Service. Ice-storm and winter-storm warnings are in effect for several states, which will experience dangerous road conditions, the service said.
Storm slowly moving north along the East Coast. Latest forecasts at National Weather service pic.twitter

The Weather Channel estimated that 5 to 12 inches of snow is expected to hit parts of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York City and New England. Areas with higher elevation could get up to 18 inches of snow. Major cities Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York City will also experience significant snowfall, which may mix with or change to sleet or rain, according to the channel.

Due to the storm, federal government offices in Washington, D.C., local D.C. government offices, as well as multiple public schools and colleges will be closed Thursday. However, schools in New York City will remain open.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency due to the "severe winter weather" that was expected to arrive Wednesday night. Christie also announced that state offices will be closed Thursday for all non-essential employees.

“This winter storm is expected to arrive tonight and last through early Friday morning, and the heavy snow will create hazardous travel conditions across the state,” Christie said in a statement Wednesday. “I’ve authorized state officials to continue all necessary actions, and my administration will monitor conditions throughout the remainder of the storm. I encourage all New Jerseyans to drive carefully and remain off the roads if possible so that our first responders and public safety officials can safely respond to any emergency situations.”

The southern United States is still coping with the effects of the storm. U.S. President Barack Obama declared South Carolina a federal disaster area, with nearly 230,000 customers in the state reportedly without power.

A college basketball game scheduled for Wednesday night between Duke University and the University of North Carolina was postponed due to the weather.

The ice storm underway in the South is going to be one of the most damaging storms of its kind in decades, if current projections pan out. The storm, which is gathering strength along the Gulf Coast, is pushing warm, moist air up and over an entrenched cold dome of high pressure that is keeping temperatures below freezing at the surface from Maine to Alabama.

Ice more than an inch thick is expected to coat much of central and eastern Georgia into central South Carolina. This may not sound like much, but considering that tree branches will break at just a quarter to a half-inch of ice accumulation, entire trees and power poles are likely to come crashing down in the hardest-hit areas.

Freezing rain results when a layer of warm air aloft and cold air at the surface causes rain to fall and freeze upon contact with the ground. Today, a strong area of high pressure across New England has been funneling cold air all the way down the East Coast and into Georgia, in a phenomenon that weather forecasters call “cold air damming.” The cold air damming was so strong this morning that the 32 degree Fahrenheit line was advancing southwest across Georgia, as the cold, dense air oozed its way down the eastern seaboard.

In an ominous sign, meteorologists at the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Atlanta have run out of adjectives to describe this event, writing in an early morning forecast discussion:
“This is an event of historical proportions!! Catastrophic...Crippling… Paralyzing… Choose your adjective. This is a very very big deal especially from metro Atlanta east along the I-20 corridor… generally anywhere south of I-85 and north of I-16 where the most significant ice totals are forecast. Stay safe out there!”
In order to improve the reliability of the computer models that its forecasters use to predict the weather, the NWS tasked the famed U.S. Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters to fly a reconnaissance mission above the Gulf of Mexico last night. The aircraft dropped instrument packages known as dropsondes, which sent back data on air temperature, pressure, and winds, among other information. This data was then fed into an overnight run of one of the main computer models, known as the North American Model (or NAM for short).
“The U.S. Air Force Hurricane Hunter made five different drops in the Gulf of Mexico last evening,” NWS spokesman Chris Vaccaro told Mashable. “The purpose was to collect additional observations over the Gulf to better assist with [the] track and intensity [forecast] of the winter storm.”
The move also demonstrates the lack of consensus among the main computer models going into Wednesday morning, as the event was getting underway.

“I do not recall when the last time was that we used these types of aircraft observations for an East Coast storm, but we have in past for potential high impact events,” Vaccaro said in an email message.

Previously, the NWS has gone to great lengths in order to improve the accuracy of computer models in advance of a highly selective number of major storm. In 2012, for example, it ordered extra weather balloon launches at 120 weather offices across the entire U.S. in order to provide a data boost that could improve forecast accuracy for Hurricane Sandy.

After the flight and the computer model data that came in early on Wednesday, the NWS forecast office in Atlanta increased its forecast ice totals from about an inch to more than an inch.

Forecasts call for an inch or more of ice accumulation in an arc from southeast of Atlanta to Columbia, S.C., and on up to Raleigh, N.C. Such a large accumulation of ice is almost certain to cause extensive damage to trees and power lines because of the weight of the ice.

Based on an experimental index of ice storm severity, known as the Sperry-Piltz Ice Accumulation Index, it will likely rank at a level 4 out of 5 in parts of South Carolina, meaning that the state could see “prolonged and widespread utility interruptions” that last at least five to 10 days.
Already, the freezing rain has resulted in at least 200,000 people losing power across the South and Southeast, a number that is expected to climb rapidly throughout the day on Wednesday and into Wednesday night. A less severe and widespread ice storm in the Southeast in 2000 caused more than 500,000 to lose power in Georgia alone.
In addition, the tree damage from this event could be so significant that it is visible for many years, much as a 1998 ice storm caused widespread tree damage and blackouts across northern New England and Quebec. The weight of the ice causes tree limbs to snap off, and can even cause entire trees to topple.

The ice is not the only threat from this storm. Heavy snow will also fall to the north of the zone of freezing rain, where the cold air layer is deeper.

The storm is projected to move northeastward along the East Coast, blasting Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston with several inches of snow followed by a sloppy mess of rain and sleet (which is quite possibly the worst type of precipitation because it painfully hits you in the face). To the west of the big cities, across the Appalachians, more than a foot of snow may fall.
Data indicates that there is the potential for two rare phenomena - thundersnow and thunder freezing rain, as vigorous atmospheric lift leads to the formation of thunderstorms on top of cold low-level air masses.
If the track of the storm changes by as little as 30 miles, the zone of heaviest snow will shift. This could make the difference between a foot of snow in Washington and just six inches, which is the current forecast.

Google's Gmail OUTAGE!!! YAHOO! Happy, Tweeted "google outage"..!!!

Google Responds to Massive Gmail Outage, Yahoo Disses Gmail on Twitter, Then Backtracks

Gmail service went down worldwide Friday afternoon, frustrating millions of users. The outage also affected other Google services such as Hangouts and Google+.

Google's apps dashboard initially showed all Google services in the green, but it was updated at around 2:20 p.m. ET to show a service disruption for Gmail. Gmail stopped working for both web and mobile apps as well as third-party clients such as Apple Mail, suggesting that the entire back-end (IMAP) service was affected.

Google has not yet made a statement about the outage apart form the app dashboard, and the official Gmail Twitter account has been silent since Wednesday.

UPDATE, Jan. 24, 3:05 p.m. ET Gmail appears to be back online for most users.

Friday's Google outage that downed Gmail, Google+, Calendar and Documents for users around the world was caused by a software bug, according to a statement released by Google Friday evening.

The culprit, said Google, was an internal software bug that ultimately caused users' data requests to be ignored, which then caused errors within Gmail and other Google services.
"An internal system that generates configurations essentially, information that tells other systems how to behave encountered a software bug and generated an incorrect configuration," said Ben Treynor, Google's VP of Engineering, on the company's blog. "The incorrect configuration was sent to live services over the next 15 minutes, caused users’ requests for their data to be ignored, and those services, in turn, generated errors."
Google apologized for the outage, which, it reported, lasted 25 to 55 minutes and affected as many as 10% of users. The company also said they are in the process of putting systems in place to prevent any similar problems in the future.

The outage began Friday at 10:55 a.m. PST, according to Google. The sudden crash of multiple Google services at once caused an an uproar on Twitter, where affected users quickly pointed the finger at Google.
Yahoo was briefly involved in the Twitter firestorm when it dissed Google in a tweet, which was eventually removed. Yahoo later apologized from the same Twitter account saying the tweet "reflected bad judgment."
Elsewhere on social media, an unfortunately timed Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Google's Site Reliability Engineering team was happening during the outage, though the team declined to comment directly on the ongoing outage during the AMA.
