Windows 9: Windows 7 Fans Should be happy and who disappoint about Windows 8...!!!

Windows 9 Start menu makes video debut

The video, which comes from a genuine early build of the Windows 9 Technical Preview, shows in much greater detail how the new Start menu will intertwine aspects of the old Windows 7 era Start menu with Windows 8′s Metro Start screen. Putting aside for a moment that the Windows 9 Start menu was clearly cut from Metro cloth, I’m actually pleasantly surprised by the functionality and UI displayed in the video.

The new Windows 9 Start menu, while it looks completely different from the Windows Vista or Windows 7 Start menu, retains most of the same functionality but now the direct Documents, Pictures, Control Panel, etc. links are on the left side, rather than the right. Instead, the right side of the Windows 9 Start menu either contains a flyout menu for expanded folders or a panel filled with Metro style live tiles.
While the left side of the Windows 9 Start menu looks somewhat like the Windows 7 era menu, it’s clearly a brand new beast. Still, all of the major functions from the Windows 7 Start menu are there: A Search/Run box (which immediately has focus after you hit the Start key), one click access to your documents and pictures, and a block that appears to be populated with your most-used apps. (Amusingly, PC Settings is stickied, but Control Panel isn’t. I am very curious to see how Windows 9 handles Desktop configuration for mouse and keyboard users.) The power button is now at the top of the Start menu, but that’s probably a better place for it harder to mistakenly click it up there.

And then there’s the huge Start screen-style panel on the right hand side. There’s no other way to describe it: It is the Start screen from Windows 8, but in a floating panel rather than full screen. The live tiles are identical: You can resize them and move them around. As you pin (or remove) items from the Metro portion of the Start menu, it scales accordingly. I have to admit, it’s pretty slick though personally I will continue to use the taskbar as an app launcher. (Though it would be nice if taskbar icons behaved a little more like live tiles…)

Rounding out some of the other features that we see in the video, we also see that the taskbar properties window will let you choose whether the Start screen or Start menu pops up when you hit the Start button. Presumably the Start menu will be the default for mouse-and-keyboard users, while touchscreen devices will default to the Metro style Start screen. The video also shows you what Metro apps will look like running in a window on the Desktop. You can see the “three dots” button in the top left of Metro apps that will allow you to access options that were previously accessed through the Charms bar (Search, Share, Settings, etc.)

This is the first footage to appear of the Windows 9 Technical Preview, which is scheduled to be released at the end of September or beginning of October.

Top Company's now Hiring butE "HUMAN NEED NOT APPLY"- Your son/daughter has any job? THINK about future grandson / granddaughter

Population is growing to unprecedented levels; last week a UNICEF report predicted that by the end of this century the population of Africa alone will hit four billion people. What are all these people going to do?

Here’s never been a better time to be a worker with special skills or the right education, because these people can use technology to create and capture value. However, there’s never been a worse time to be a worker with only ‘ordinary’ skills and abilities to offer, because computers, robots and other digital technologies are acquiring these skills and abilities at an extraordinary pace.

Here’s what I know for sure: each of us is competing against commoditization. I don’t just mean each company or each industry. I mean each person. You. Me. Our roles are being commoditized, and commoditized roles will eventually be automated, because they must be done as cheaply as possible.

I just watched Humans Need Not Apply, the latest video from CGP Grey, the semi-anonymous creator with dozens of explanatory videos to his credit. In a video titled "Humans Need Not Apply," Grey lays out a compelling case for why almost half of those currently in the work force could struggle to find work once automation takes over in the near future.

Talk of robots making humans obsolete is generally a topic that is still laughed off as science fiction by most, but a new video by popular YouTube history buff and myth debunker CGP Grey could get you to rethink the future human work.

Unlike the lofty visions of "the singularity," in which artificial intelligences take over the planet in rapid and dramatic fashion, Grey paints a picture, backed up by statistics and current developments, indicating that the true singularity will occur gradually, with software and automatons slowly erasing human jobs before we realize what's really happening.

The analogy Grey uses to make his point is the horse and buggy in the 1900s versus the modern day car. According to Grey, the horse, viewed by many historians as one of the central tools aiding the advancement of human society for hundreds of years, is a perfect example of how quickly human workers can and will be rendered obsolete in favor of machine automation.

Perhaps the most startling assertion made by Grey is his convincing deconstruction of the notion that, as machines replace human workers, society will naturally find new work for the growing ranks of the unemployed.

The jobs that the robots will leave for humans will be those that require thought and knowledge," said Internet sociologist Howard Rheingold in a recent Pew Research report. But Grey isn't buying it. According to Grey, the machine takeover won't be limited to physical labor but will permeate areas such legal matters, medical advice and even creative arts like music, painting and (egad!) writing. Toward the end of the video Grey speculates that up to 45% of the current workforce could disappear due to automation.

Grey's analysis, peppered with examples like the development of Google's self-driving car and IBM's Watson, is indeed thought provoking and, in some ways, terrifying. But what his tale of the future doesn't account for is human culture's impact on the development of these tools. None of the technologies Grey mentioned are developed and deployed in a vacuum.

Every new technology block our opportunity
At some point (perhaps sooner than we realize), humanity may find itself once again engaged in a sort of neo-Luddite movement in which humans begin to rebel against machine automation in the interest of keeping people involved in the chain of production, be it as an attorney or as a flute player in the park.

How u keep ur key safe while in jogging, Roller coast?? GoKey: Keeping your keys safe on the go..

Why Every tech want to attach our hand or body???

Invariably I have doubts about why every tech wants to attach our hand or body here my small brain think about this and give some wear tech. We should start form earlier days. If we want check time what we do?. Sort of a chain connect into the clock or something like a chain (Packet Watch). After fast growth that's coming to hand and now it's fit's our hand. Again after that, watch update and give some advance tech like 007 watch, like stopwatch, Lights, Alarm, Calcuator, some of attach our hand first and best Watch, Smartwatch, SmartRing, Natalia Project, Jogging Armband, IBangle, I’m Watch, Nike Fuel Band, UP by Jawbone, Wrist Talker, Google Glass, ION Smart Glass, LiveMap and more.
Why everything attached our hand. We think if anything attached our hand that is safe?. Whatever, every tech helps us to take new level. There are only three things only important for to access these tech they are EYE,EAR and HAND. Make sure  these are safe (Now only). Later maybe add leg or something.
and Now gokey!

A minimalist silicone bracelet with a function. Gokey securely conceals your key while you are on the go.

When you run, where do you put your key?

Do you squeeze it in the tiny “built in” pocket in your shorts? Tie it on your shoe lace or pant string? Do you just hold in your hand? If you wear a bra, maybe your key is nicely cushioned by your breast...or if you are a risk taker, maybe you hide it underneath your doormat?

None of these work around solutions are comfortable or safe. How many times have you wished the annoying key jingling was not the soundtrack of your running? Or even worse, you completed your jog, felt energized and a minute later all good vibes have vanished because you have just realized you lost your house key!

gokey is a sleek silicone wrist band that conceals your key when you are out and about. This accessory is not only stylish but serves a purpose. While there are many work arounds for storing keys, none of them offer a worry free experience. gokey alleviates this running stressor and brings peace of mind to your jog.

gokey's unique design allows for a safe and comfortable way to carry your key while on a run, so you will be able to stop worrying and engage in your workout and finally embrace peace of mind. We are a nation of anxious people trying to restore our inner balance and this is exactly what we seek from exercise: a way to disconnect from the pressure, responsibilities and worries of everyday life.

The key is easy to insert and is fully concealed when the bracelet is closed so no one needs to know your wrist band’s secret. The sleek, modern design makes gokey easy to wear when working out or from day to day. The silicone rubber (a similar material to the LiveStrong bracelets) is sweat proof, flexible, stretchy, and resistant to wear.

GoKey in 2 colors: Vibrant Blue and Punchy Red. gokey can hold one key at a time. The internal cavity fits most standard house, lock, and locker keys. Keys up to 2.25” long and with a head size 1" across or smaller fit comfortably into the cavity. Below you can see the different styles and kinds of keys we tested with gokey. The most common house keys are #66 and 68 (these are the two on the left). If you find either of these numbers on your keys you are good to go. If you have a different kind of key, check below to see what we have tested. There are thousands of keys out there so we couldn't possibly test them all but go by the measurements and you will be fine.

GoKey now 3 different size bracelets (small, medium and large) in 2 awesome colors (vibrant blue and punchy red).  Please use the size chart below to determine the right size for you. Keep in mind that if your size is at the top of the range the wrist band will be snug. Just measure your wrist circumference and you're ready to go!

While we originally conceived of gokey as a running accessory, it has many more possibilities, just use your imagination. We've used it at the gym, while biking, swimming and taking our dog on a walk.

Dead on Arrival: AMAZON FIRE SMARTPHONE (shh: Samsung,LG,APPLE might actually Scared of the Fire Phone) & Specification

Amazon challenges rivals with 3D 'Fire' smartphone

Amazon on Wednesday unveiled its “Fire Phone,” a high end handset boasting “breakthrough technologies” and a move aimed at challenging market leaders Apple and Samsung.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos unveiled the device, Amazon’s first smartphone of its own, which has a 4.7-inch display, a high-definition camera and Amazon’s free help service. The phone also ties in to Amazon’s vast array of other offerings, serving as a platform for digital content such as books, films and music and connecting users to the firm’s cloud storage. The relatively small size closer to the iPhone in size than the larger Samsung phones allows for easy one handed operation. The display allows for a more “immersive” experience because it recognizers the user’s position and adapts the image. It has other high-end features include a quad-core processor, Gorilla Glass and a 13-megapixel camera with image stabilization. Amazon will also offer free cloud storage for pictures for phone buyers. He added that Google and Amazon are now more direct competitors, because Amazon uses a modified or “forked” version of Android.

“Fire Phone puts everything you love about Amazon in the palm of your hand instant access to Amazon’s vast content ecosystem” said Bezos. The handset has what Bezos called a “dynamic” display which shows images in three dimensions, and a scanner which recognizes products for sale and a variety of other objects such as artworks.

Amazon described these features as “two new breakthrough technologies that allow you to see and interact with the world through a whole new lens.” The so called “dynamic perspective” uses a sensor system “to respond to the way you hold, view, and move Fire, enabling experiences not possible on other smartphones,” .

The Firefly feature, which uses the phone's camera to recognize physical objects books, video games, food, household products and other items and gives you the option to buy all that stuff instantly on Amazon. “Amazon’s goal is always to get you one click closer to purchasing, so this integrates completely with that strategy.”. You can also scan television shows and movies to get more information on them in real time.

Contrary to some speculation, Amazon is not shaking up the pricing model for the smartphone market selling the device to U.S. customers through AT&T at $200 with a contract, starting July 25. As a financial inducement, consumers who buy the phone will get one year of “Amazon Prime,” which includes free delivery of goods and access to digital offerings such as video and streaming music. Analysts gave a mixed reaction, saying Amazon did not appear to offer a compelling reason to consumers to switch, but could appeal to its loyal customers.

“There are people who know and love all things about Amazon, and that’s the low hanging fruit,” said Ramon Llamas, mobile analyst at IDC. “This is an uphill challenge to get people to give up their current smartphones and switch to this one.” Trip Chowdhry, analyst at Global Equities Research, said Amazon is now taking on rivals such as Google and Apple head on.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL

The general reaction to Amazon’s Fire Phone in the United States has been underwhelming to say the least, with some well-respected critics going so far as to say it’s “dead on arrival” and could be an even bigger flop than last year’s HTC-made Facebook phone. However, The Korea Times’ sources are hearing that local mobile powerhouses Samsung and LG are actually worried about the Fire Phone for reasons that seemingly don’t make a lot of sense.

“The top appealing factor for the Amazon phone is competitive pricing and the technology that enables it to produce three-dimensional (3D) images,” one of The Korea Times’ industry sources says, explaining why Samsung and LG view the Fire Phone as a potential threat. “The mobile is customized for shoppers. Customers can shop more conveniently by using the Amazon content platform and Amazon will be able to earn more commissions.”

The claim of “competitive pricing” is especially puzzling because the Fire Phone isn’t competitively priced at all. In fact, at $200 on contract with AT&T, it’s priced just like flagship phones from Apple, Samsung and LG.

Nonetheless, The Korea Times seems to think this is an attractive price for American consumers, who will also get the added “bonus” of being restricted to using the phone on “AT&T, a top-tier carrier in the United States.”

Cho Sung-eun, an analyst at Samsung’s investment arm Samsung Securities, tells The Korea Times that the Fire Phone will “threaten” Samsung and LG because it’s adept at “promoting three caterpillars distribution, content and cloud.”. We aren’t exactly sure what he’s talking about what “caterpillars” here, but we do feel confident in saying Samsung has very little to worry from the Fire Phone, at least in its first generation.
Amazon (AMZN, Tech30)sells its Kindle and Kindle Fire tablets relatively cheaply in the hope of making money when customers use them to shop in its online store. The Fire Phone, however, starts at $199 with a two year contract the same as the latest high end phones from Apple (AAPL, Tech30) and Samsung (SSNLF).

Is it disadvantage?

Firefly is an ingenious way for Amazon to make purchases on its site even more seamless, but whether that solves a big enough problem to convince many Apple and Samsung users to switch remains to be seen. Amazon is sweetening the deal in other ways. For example, every Fire Phone buyer gets a one-year subscription to Amazon Prime, worth $99. With Prime, users get free two-day shipping on Amazon products as well as access to streaming video and music services.

IbisWorld telecom analyst Sarah Kahn said the Fire Phone is “not different enough” and does not offer a big financial inducement for consumers to switch. In a note to clients, Chowdhry said the Amazon phone has “innovations that Apple will need to catch up to.”. “Apple has probably fallen behind in innovation they are still struggling with figuring out the right screen size, while Amazon is racing ahead with innovations, with dynamic perspective and Firefly being the most ground breaking innovations,” Chowdhry wrote. “Amazon.com’s FireOS is not good news for Google, as this could hurt Google’s developer ecosystem and could provide an alternate Amazon’s AppStore to Google’s Play.”

This makes for beautiful home screen images, but it feels like little more than a gimmick at this point. The 3D-enabled maps app, for example, is nice to look at, but doesn't offer any compelling functions you wouldn't find on Google (GOOG) Maps. The takeaway from all this? If you do a lot of shopping online and are in the market for a new handset, the Fire Phone is worth considering. But if you're happy with your iPhone 5s or Galaxy S5, there's no compelling reason to change

Today, your belongings not only include your favorite LPs, designer sunglasses and lucky Billy Joel t-shirt; your "stuff" is all over Facebook, too.

New mobile app KillSwitch makes it easy to eliminate your ex's entire presence on your Facebook timeline in one fell swoop.
The caveat is you still have to be friends with your ex to use the app. (So, don't make any brash decisions, post-breakup.) Simply identify the target ex from your list of friends. The app then crawls your profile for content (photos, videos, wall posts and status updates) linked or tagged with that person's specific Facebook ID. In the next step, you have the option to delete all the content or manually select and vanquish certain interactions.
The app will cost $0.99 in the App Store and Google Play, and each sale will benefit the American Heart Association of New York.
But letting go takes time. Literally. "The deleting process can take time, depending on connectivity. We did one test with over 4,000 posts and it can take up to 15 minutes. In further iterations, we’re hoping to work with partners to serve up relevant content during this waiting period. Maybe pics of shirtless firemen?" Erica Mannherz, co-founder of ClearHart, KillSwitch's agency, tells Mashable in an exclusive interview.
In case you're unwilling to delete your ex's history all together, you may choose to save photos, videos, etc. into a secret KillSwitch folder, which lives on your Facebook account, invisible to all others. "So users can laugh about them after they have moved on (and the ex at hand has ballooned, balded and probably taken a position at the Cheesecake Factory)," KillSwitch shares in its press release.

In reality however, KillSwitch is not meant as a vindictive tool, says Mannherz. "This app is intended as an assertion of independence and healing mechanism for the KillSwitcher. It’s meant to help the user reclaim their little corner of the Internet their Facebook profile not to inflict pain.
"It’s more about saving yourself from the greater implications of having evidence of defunct relationships all over your business," she adds. "Can we ever really invest in a new relationship while evidence of our past ones remain etched into the peripheries of our digital lives?"
Still, there's something to physically destroying all evidence of a failed relationship even if it's just the towel that Elton used to ice your head at the Val party. Initially, KillSwitch toyed with a tool that let users "rip up,” “swipe to slice up” or even "burn" each picture with a flick of their fingers. But the team determined that could get old really fast, especially when it's not uncommon for longer relationships to have hundreds, even thousands of photos on Facebook.

KillSwitch promises a ton of exciting future iterations and updates, and the app isn't even live yet. For instance, "one of the upgrades we have coming down the pipeline will attempt to predict this with a 'Breakup Severity Slide,'" says Mannherz. "Users can determine what content is deleted based on how bad the breakup was. Slide it one way if it was amicable, and it’ll keep group pictures with your ex, for instance. If he or she tore your heart out and ran it over with a skateboard, slide the other way and it’ll wipe ‘em all."

Don't have an ex in mind? Use KillSwitch to abort all kinds of Facebook relationships: friends, co-workers, ex-in-laws, etc.
"People might think that Facebook won’t like a service like this," says Mannherz, "but in essence, what KillSwitch does is allows users to feel even more comfortable about sharing because it allows them to control and cut down some of the unnecessary negative consequences of doing so."

Wish KillSwitch was around when you broke up with that douchebag after high school homecoming?
